The Flying Dutchamn

Frans The Flying Dutchman lands next week for his first taste of some english barbel fishing, his wife Tjitske and daughter Linda are also coming over so it will be a holiday as well as plenty of fishing.

For all the lastest catch reports and adventures of the Dutch Thunderbirds keep an eye out here, I will try to keep you updated as the week goes on.

There is a rumour flying around that I might be going horse riding next week, Me, I pity the poor horse

A Cracking day out

Just spent a cracking day at Barford Fisheries near Norwich, what a great little fishery this is and a credit to Sarah Thomson and her team.



I was there to write and photograph a feature for Anglers Mail with young Norwich Match star Steve Crowe.



Steve worked his butt off to make sure we had some action for the cameras, well done Steve.



Here's his best carp of the day a fish not far short of 20lb skillfully landed on 6lb mainline

Sun set on Severn

As the sun sets on the Severn it brings to an end a great holiday with my missus and Chas and Denise Kellet with a weekend visit from Tom and Ginger plenty of barbel caught with Chas taking 61 during the week up to 8lb 12oz

I had a very busy but none the less enjoyable weekend with the lads from Preston Inovations,Korum and Sonubaits at the Go-Fishing show at Cudmore fishery near Stoke

Sadly it's back to work tomorrow

It's a lovely evening on the Severn been fishing since about 4pm and
managed 6 barbel so far all on the monkey

Had 13 barbel last night
