Fishing the Waal tonight for a short session I managed to break the Dutch Barbel record with a barbel of 87cm with the old record standing at 85cm. The barbel was a long lean fish weighing in at around 11.08 (5.25kg) so in english terms its not a monster but with the Dutch paying more interest in fish length than weight this would be a new record.
