Just how bad were England yesterday, but I will say that had the Goal that was IN been counted the Game would have had a totally different outcome.
That cost me over £350 as I shall now have to pay for my TV
most importantly thou little Florence Lily is doing very well after her setback last week, she is now at home and growing in size and strength every day.
Read about my adventures as I travel around the UK & Europe in search of big fish. Learn about what I see and who I meet along the way.

A Good Start To The Season
The season got off to a good start on the Tidal Trent, fishing with Gary Newman from the Anglers Mail we managed to net a nice few barbel between us.
We started fishing mid morning friday and soon got into the barbel with a steady run of fish throughout the day, the weather was a bit on the cool side but with the odd sunny shower not too bad. By saturday morning the weather had taken a turn for the worse with a cold North East Wind blowing it felt more like a winters day, and the fish were hard to come by.

Many thanks to the Barbel Society for allowing Gary and myself to fish at the fabulous Sutton On Trent fishery, if you want to read more about the trip and Gary's other angling adventures then get hold of a copy of the best angling weekly by miles, THE ANGLERS MAIL.

Back to Full Speed Again.
Had a great week and up to full speed again, was back at work last night after being off sick, first time in over 10 years had anytime off for sickness.
As a lot of you know I enjoy writing articles for magazines usually fishing Mags but not always, after returning from India earlier in the year I wrote an article for Truck and Driver, a Magazine for truck drivers, working in the transport industry I am a bit of an anorak when it comes to trucks. I have to say they have done me proud with a great layout of the article and use of the pictures that I sent, if you fancy a read its the July addition of Truck and Driver

Bream On
Had a busy day yesterday with Total Coarse Fishing magazine, went to Swangey Lakes in search of some bream, nothing complicated, just a simple day out in the lovely weather catching some nice fish.
The plan worked well and I managed to catch some good fish for the cameras, just what we caught and how will be revealed in the August issue of TCF, but here's a little taster.
Many thanks to Steve Martin from TCF and Pat McInnes for the kind use of his cracking images.
Also thanks to Al at Swangey Lakes for his help and support on the day www.swangeylakes.co.uk/
